A certain family in Ahmadabad (very recent matter of February 1950) doing business was in rack and ruin. Its trading agency was ordered to be stopped from March 1950, which would mean a winding of a business giving a net profit of Rs. 25,000 a year. The head of the family approached the Founder and explained the whole situation.
Said the Founder, "You prove your bona-fides by offering Rs. 125 to Mother, before which I cannot do anything, because I have the worst experience of the world , after their work done." A cheque was immediately passed. Said the man," To be saved from my present situation , I want a loan of Rs. 3 lacs and an extension of my agency and the cancelling of the order of its termination by the end of March ."
Said the Founder," You pray like this, installing Mother." They prayed strongly all in one, the whole family because unless Mother helped, the family was going to be entirely ruined. None would advance Rs. 50,000. All the property would be attached. In less than a week, the German firm cancelled the order and extended the period to three months. Today's death was shifted. There were letters of joyfulness and thankfulness and thanksgiving with the heart of devotion, to Mother.
The whole family took to devotion and Mai Japa " Jay Mai Jay Markand Mai "(daily one hour program for the whole family at night). The agency was renewed still further up to December 1950.
Further, before the usual nine Friday's time limit expired , the world was as it were overturned and a rich man of Bombay came forward to advance a loan of Rs. four lacs.
Can we imagine greater mercifulness?
Mother has helped families out of calamities, beyond imagination, only on a mere appearance of Self-surrender to Her.
The merchant came down to Bombay [Mumbai], saw the Founder with his daughter and had a nice Mother worship which pleased the Founder most.
The main characteristics of Mai-ism are as under : (a) It would look, for instance, quite strange, as stated in Main Mother's Message, page 5 - that even one who does not believe in God but does believe in common tie of humanity and practises service and extends love to all is a Mai-ist, (with some locus standi under religion), Mai-ism accepts you, even if you only have the universal outlook and live the life of universal love and universal service, to the extent of your possibility and practicability.
(b) Without diving deep into the subtleties of Mai-ism, some religionists have asked superficially, “Why do you add one more religion to the already too many that have sufficiently confused the world?'' The reply to such hasty conclusion is what I stated above, viz., that it is not a religion in exactly the same sense as all individual religions have so far been. Overcrowding is possible, only when different individualities of the very same nature, variety and pattern, are huddled together. Only a single student studying Latin in a College does not over-crowd all other language classes.
(c) Whereas all religions, till now, have worked on the in creating diversities out of unity, here is an entirely reverse goal object, purpose and measure, and move in the opposite direc.. channelising all diversities towards unity. Whereas all 1 religions represent centrifugal forces, which result in their nys from the centre, Mai-ism represents the centripetal forces, which would result in all individual religions rushing towards the centre. Although the object in view is just the reverse, its working on the same lines as the individual religions becomes indispensable, in as much as it would only then be able to counteract the poisonous effect of the past. Any antidote to any poison, given inadvertently or purposely through a medicine, is again required to be, although of an entirely reverse nature, through medicine, and medicine alone. A diamond alone can cut a diamond. Even when the direction has to be reversed, any train's work, carrying hundreds of passengers, has to be done by a different train alone, although the second train is required to be a herculean train, and running in a different direction. It is therefore, that the philosophy and movement of Mai -ism fall under the nomenclature of a religion, even though, as stated above, it does not insist on some belief in the very existence of God. And yet while this is being broadly stated, let there be no misunderstanding that Mai-ism is a religion of no God. Just the reverse. The spring of surviving stamina and security of Mai-ism sprays itself from Godliness itself through goodness givingness and greatness (vide World's need page 4.) . The main-most difference is, there is no compulsion and no pressure, and no misunderstandings-creation for them, that of themselves feel no need of a God. Mai - ism is eagerly anxious to take them upon its shoulders. Just the reverse of 'no God', it depends fully for its success, only on God's grace, only on Mai's grace. However, it tries to provide various ways, means and teachings for all classes of persons at different stages of evolution. Mai-ism is not for confusing, discouraging or expelling them, that fall below a certain ideal rigid standard; but gradually lifting everyone from one's own stage to higher and higher stages.
(d) The next thing to note is that Mai-ism is all inclusive, as stated in the very first page of " Mother's Message", where it states, that Mai-ism is the Universal Religion without caste, creed or colour. With full respect to and following one's own religion, without departure, one can be a Hindu Mai-ist, a Christian Maiist , Muslim Mai-ist, a Buddha Mai-ist, etc.
(e) Mother Mai has always been discussed to be sexless or beyond sex, and hence, Mai-ism has absolutely nothing to object against Fai-ism. If at all in future any such religion is given by God Almighty to the world, as stated in Mai-ism, Mai or Fai is the very same Almighty, who has the aspect of Mai or Fai, according as the devotees and worshippers desire.
(f) It has been also very clearly stated under Mai-ism, that anyone can simultaneously have his own individual religion for individual purposes ( for his preliminary evolution ), with quite a smooth and harmonious living in the midst of his own society, and yet, without the least conflict, he can have the Universal Religion, which is meant for universal purposes, and for higher evolution, as well. That is so because the purposes, aims and objects, fields and duties, associations, environments and problems of individual religion and universal religion are entirely different. There is absolutely no conflict, unless either of them is twisted to bear wrong, untrue and half-distorted interpretations. Mai-ism says that we never find any portion of our body working against the well-being of the whole body itself. Whenever either the universal religion or individual religion interprets any truth, as in contradiction to the well-being of the Universal Religion or any individual religion, surely, it must be inferred that there is something wrong somewhere, in the interpretation. And that can be at once remedied, if the whole and all parts are mutually interconnected and united. These parts have always to be fully harmonious with one another and also with the whole. Surely, the highest religious thinkers have gradually arriv the stage of visualising the need of a Universal Religion, as the federation of all. What Mai-ism puts before the world is a third requirement, viz., that the Universal Religion has to be a full fledged religion, to serve as the federator of all religions.
(g) Further, Mai is the Mother or the Spirit, or what the Christians imagine and call, “ The Holy Ghost ”. Mai is the Mother of all and of any deity and of any worshipper. It is the God of any religion and even of any imaginary God of any conception.
(h) Another feature of Mai-ism is that it believes the world cannot have the benefits of a Universal Religion, unless, it is entwined around a Universally accepted God. A Union of Ferocious lions wishing to tear each other, most united with one another cannot be brought into existence, simply as a result of mere wishes of idealists, or by a flock of bleating lambs.
(i) In the matter of selection of the conception of the Universal God, nothing can be so very natural, easily follow-able, and familiar, as the parental conception; and further, in as much as father is justice and mother is mercy, and yet further, inasmuch the world needs, in the modern age, God's mercy, Motherhood of God is, at least in the belief of Mai-ism, most preferable. In respect of the selection of God from the point of parentage, fatherhood or motherhood, the world has to be extremely practical to be fully deriving every exaltation. "There is no religion higher than truth" and mere notions of man-made decisions regarding our courtesies or their reverses of vulgarisms should not deter the world from holding final truths fully in front of one's face. From this viewpoint it is fully certain that the certainty about a certain mother parentage is a fully provable truth with undeniable evidence of witness from any maternity home. Any nurse and any doctor would boldly certify the mother of a certain baby, to be a certain woman. In the other case it is all only a matter of assumed chastity, custom, guardianship responsibility, social courtesy and responsibility-fixing legal provision and world's procedure. Further for societies, in which there are no customs of marriages, the fatherhood determination problem hangs in the air. Even in rarest cases where the guardianship of an unprotected baby comes into question, human nature and compassionate impartial judgement of public leaders and judges mostly decide the issue in favour of the child in the guardianship of the baby's mother. Fatherhood had its day. The world now needs a drastic overhauling change of the following of the fatherhood ideal has now been only flogging the dead horse. Let the new age have a new religie individual but universal, and let it have a new God, who is Father alone, but Mother- Father God.
(j) If the universe is to be made a happy family, there is no other conception as efficient as the Universal Mother.
(k) Mai-ism wants thinking people to realise that God is God, man is man, religion is religion and a mere society is a society, There is no guarantee as safe and certain as God and religion, for being remunerated in respect of any service and sacrifice, in the interest of anyone of the whole humanity. Rain is rain and a gardener's water-sprinkling can is a can. This is being stated in respect of what man and even superman can do and what God Almighty can do. Man cannot give life to the smallest bug once killed, whereas God has been creating millions of even human lives, every second.
(l) Mai-ism clearly states that the teaching of service, and sacrifice, without any the smallest idea o a return, is only an ideal. Of course, the higher and higher anyone rises, his selflessness, desirelessness, relishlessness and non-attachment goes on increasing from nothingness to maximum; but that is an actual, hard, uphill task, and nothing is more ridiculous, than to make a pre- assumption of what is a to be achieved through religiosity, God's grace and Guru’s guidance. Mai-ism’s aim and object is to collect, preserve and create every divinity dust grain from every religion and any corner of the world, while fully maintaining any one's individual religion intact. Any subtle reader of Mai-ism literature will see that a certain principle has been clearly stated and accepted. It is that, texts of prayers, language thereof, details of ceremony and modes of worshipping, etc. have to be accepted and introduced in any Mai center or institute according as the Mai-ists of the particular centre unanimously decide, with full independence and discretion, be they of any religion. This has been most clearly stated in "Mother's Message"on page 13 under the practical measures of Mai-ists, It reads as under : Some of the practical measures for true Mai-ists are : (9) Constructing, opening, or encouraging to open Mother's Lodges, Temples, Homes and Colonies under any denomination religious, national or communal, of any people, in any place.
(m) What Mai - ism wants may be better explained by a long illustration. Just have the picture of the father's many mansions and warehouses of innumerable mangoes of all varieties grown up in all parts of our vastest world. Mai - ism has seen that the world has been since long suffering from the worst cholera of devilishness, because people eat rotten corroded, spoiled and disease - spreading mangoes. Mai - ism has therefore undertaken the work of separating divinity-smelling, health-giving mangoes from the spoiled and infected mangoes. Mai - ism does not stop with sorting out mangoes alone. It applies the same test to all diseases - spreading fruits as well, say, guavas, plantains, apples, etc. Mai - ism holds forth one biggest imaginable basket. Bestness and health - givingness is the test, and practically the only test for any fruit for being picked up and placed in constant and continued contactual association with equally best fruits. Practically, that is the only test of best fruits, for being entrusted to the Best Preserver of the whole universe (the Universal Most Merciful Mother Mai). The shape, the colour, the size, the nature and degree of relishfulness or sweetness, place or person, in respect of any fruit, are all simply secondary considerations. It is enough that the fruit is not corroded and not disease-creating and does not turn all other fruits to be dangerous, with the destruction work, say, as of gnaw-worms. (n) If I like mangoes, I need not crush a plantain under my feet, nor be an idiot to assert that, because I am a mango - appreciator, all others over whom I may have my hold, should be all appreciators of mangoes alone. Nor should it be, that because I am a mango-appreciator, I should refuse to eat or even see an apple. A true Marist would rather look for the health-givingness and relishfulness in any fruit, that happens to be in his contact. To put it in plainest words, Mai-ism is for godliness, universality, goodness, morality, mercy, justice, virtue and best men to men relationship, wherever and in whatever form it may be found. Mai-ism is for minimisation of all man-made degenerating differences. Mai-ism has yet further, to provide for the consolidation, preservation and future procreation of these attributes, for the welfare, peace, prosperity and happiness of the new age. This sort of work can never be done unless, through the agency of a religion, because, it is such a long process that it requires to be carried out with developments from time to time with the intact, continuity of not one life time, but of quarters or one-thirds of a century, or, at least, say, thirty years. This work has to be carried out from age to age, pedigree to pedigree, and generation to generation. The world's progressiveness is so very trivial, and the goal is so very distant, that quite a long continuity of sameness, with the force of an inheritance, is indispensable. And that can be had and preserved, under the unworldly selflessness of religion alone. Religious development, as achieved in so many various aspects, spiritual, scriptural, religious, moral and social, has to be preserved and progressed with much greater zeal, service, sacrifice, patience and hard conscientious working, which is many times much more laborious, taxing and self-mortifying, than that of the past times and the sweet will-working of individuals, societies or institutes. It is religion alone, which can serve as the constantly working machinery, which has been moulding millions of men in a particular mentality, to be thinking and living in the same specified and chalked out way, at the very same time. It is also religion alone, that can generate the required force for millions of the new age to be inheriting and imitating the very same attributes or the ages before them. In one word, Mai-ism aspires to create and bring into existence, a certain new pattern of humanity, which believes in certain particular attributes and ways of living and beliefs, etc.
These attributes can be summed up in the one simplest formula of the most powerful and greatest welfare-creating fewest fundamental highest truths. Mai-ism is based on such a simple formula of fewest words of greatest spiritual efficacy. Mai-ism means (1) universality (2) love (3) service (4) devotion () unconditional cheerful self-surrender and (6) the spiritual co-equal status of man and woman, with the full understanding of their mutual inevitable interdependence and interpenetration, and therefore, with the realisation of the indispensability of the spiritual, sanctified, selfless unification. The emblem that has been selected by Mai-ism is that of the ancestral well-known Swastik. It is not the same as that of the Nazis. And there should be no confusion at all, in as much as the four arms have been specifically explained as love, service, devotion and surrender, The horizontal and vertical axes respectively represent (1) universality and spirituality, or the best man to man of human being to human being relationship, and (2) the sanctified unification and spiritual oneness of man and woman, or husband and wife, both respectively. In the absence of innumerable experiences of ups and downs, catastrophes and open injustices tyrannies of the wicked world, many of the new materialistic world, (with wealth, woman, profit and pleasure as the highest aims of life and living), believe that to be most courteous and sympathetic with the world's past glory, let some honorific nominal value, of a sentimental nature, be retained for virtue, morality, best character and conduct, etc. However that much, the nominal reverence, is enough by itself; and the world may dispense with the nuisances of God and Religion. And even morality and virtue. Some further think. if at all God and religion are necessary, people themselves, individually. are intelligent, educated, sufficiently scripture-proficient and competent enough to create their own God and their own religion. These small-witted persons have no idea that they will be simply shifting the whole evil and misery from its present form to the worst evil of hundreds of Gods and hundreds of religions tried to be thrust into the world. Each one would be smashing another to establish one's own supremacy through his own God and religion, The only remedy therefore, is that the world should have a God and Religion which is most acceptable to the greatest number of religious thinking persons. Goodness is weakness in the modern materialistic world. Goodness therefore, to survive, needs the protection of godliness, not simply of an individual Deity or any individual God, of any individual religion or nation, but that of the finalmost, absolute, all pervading omnipotent God, say, as Universal Mother Mai In fact, as stated on page 16 in information about International Religious Federation (IRF) Japan, by Maiji as its Sub-Councillorin-Chief,.................. (8) The highest religious man, so long as he does not believe in the world as a one whole unit, is under a delusion about his praying to Almighty God. He is worshipping not 'God', but the 'Reflection of God', in the light of his own conception. He has been worshipping not a real God, but a partial reflectional and conceptional God, God whom he himself has created in his own mind according to his own imagination, or which his mind has created for him, for his consolation and satisfaction, (9) The truest God can never be conceived except as the Creator of the Whole Universe, and He can never be exclusively attached to one's own Religion or Nation, as against all other Religions or Nations. I cannot conceive at least, that my Mother Mai, will hand over a poison drug to one of the sons to kill another. How are other Gods of other religions, I am not authorized to speak about. That can best be said by authorities of those religions. The differences between men and men are mostly of the nature of the opposite pairs of good and evil, godliness and godlessness, virtue and vice, mercy and cruelty, selflessness and selfishness, surrender to God and rebelliousness, reverence and obedience to spiritual teachers, parents, elders, masters, rulers, etc. or belittlement and insolence, harassment by children, disobedience by juniors and rebelliousness by the ruled, etc.
Mai-ism is for deciding once for all, to which basket, whether to the religious museum basket, or Municipal rubbish basket, a certain fruit naturally belongs, and Mai-ism is for consolidating all best fruits with minimization of all small differences, which are comparatively quite trivial. It is only man's own mind, that plays all mischief, in the matter of making a mountain of a molehill difference. It is that very human mind, which can as well, easily develop the magnanimity, of making least of any existing differences. In one word, there is no superman, however great, who can serve as a sure guarantee, as God and religion, as stated before, and there is no machinery as powerful as religion, which can shape and govern millions at the same time, and mould humanity for ages after ages, to the same pattern of a certain set of universally acceptable, peaceful, happiness creating, harmonious living principles. The definition about Mai's names, forms and aspects is so very wide, that anyone say, believing only in his own conscience, or only in nature, divine law, or evolution, etc., can find his own conception accepted and included in the broadest definition of Mai. Anyone can figuratively be a worshipper of Mai in any one form, one chooses. This will be clear on going through the definition of Mai in the commencement page, the second one itself, (page two) of Mai Sahasranama, or Mother's Thousand Names. Just broaden, widen and universalize the interpretations and you will be extremely happy to have the complete, broadened, rational, universalized, whole outlook of Mai-ism. Let us take one instance. Just try to have the full picture of the two requirements of devotion and unconditional cheerful self surrender. Remain fully contented with your belief of no God. Mai-ism does not disturb you. However, apply these two principles to any persons, whom, so to say in a figurative sense, you have been worshipping. Let him or her be your hero or heroine, your ideal, your imitation object, your idol. The said two attitudes as recommended under Mai-ism on being fully practised, and fulfilled, will result in your conviction, that, at least, your own life, world and universe has been turned to happify you, as in Heaven. Surely, it is most difficult for even deep thinkers, to believe that all the different varieties of emotions, actions, attitudes, conducts, characters, intensities, desires, etc. can be elevated, merely through two words of Love and Service. However, extremely deep thinking along with the most profound experience, will gradually lead you to conclude, that love is such a mysterious force, that, there is no exaggeration when it is stated that “God is love”. Yet further, it may be seen that virtues and vices, attitudes and conducts, good, bad or indifferent, and even temperaments, are all finally attributable to either neutrality or hatred or love, towards the person dealt with. It need not be stated again and again, that Mai is the mightiest form, aspect and ideal of the highest divine love.

So long as the devotee has the thinnest thread of hope in anyone else except Herself, She (Mai) allows the devotee to try it, to teach her or him the lesson, that none but She (Mai) is hers or his.~ Saint Mai Swarup Mai Markand
Niraashrayaa निराश्रया - Summarizing, Mother is the Savior of the hope-lost and Supporter of the support-less. ललिता सहस्रनाम स्तोत्र, नाम क्रमांक 147
Savior of the support-less. Whoever has no sympathizer, supporter or consoler finds the highest Savior, Supporter, Sympathizer and Solace-giver in Her.
In the reverse sense, She belongs to them alone, i.e., She is fully realised by them alone, who are support-less, i.e., who have gone above the stage of considering anyone else except Mother to be relied upon , and responsible for their well being or well faring. So long as the devotee has the thinnest thread of hope in anyone else except Herself, She allows the devotee to try it, to teach her or him the lesson, that none but She is hers or his.
Thus Mother is described first as Mother, next as Controller of all powers, next as Controller of all boons.
Next is slight reference to the very general way, how different aspirants are with reference to the revolutionary path.
Some select few progress by the direct desire-less-ness but as a general rule , almost all by direct desire-ful-ness. She is the elevating force, from the commencement for the select few of the first type, and degrading force in the beginning and then elevating force generally, for almost all of the other type. One way or the other depends upon the plane on which each soul stands, when She is pleased to confer Her special Grace. Excepting instances of special Grace, the common rule is for each soul to be attracted towards temptations and to be wise by experience and to get wiser and wiser. The first classification includes those that get wise by other's experience or by the meditation of the miseries resulting from evil, by magnifying what little experience they have . Few are able to start from where they are, but most need backing potentiality, i.e., the energy to forcefully rush ahead, as the reaction of temporary retarding and receding.
The next two names convey this idea. Extract from the book : Mother and Mother's Thousand Names Author : Mai Swarup Mai Markand
People have often misunderstood God's or Mother's Grace. It does not invert justice nor give any exemption. It carries you most expeditiously with every protection and guidance, but surely, through the right channel, and teaching you to be fully obedient to the Divine Laws. If that were not so, everyone would be breaking the law, shed few tears of right or wrong repentance , and the result would be , that the Divine Law would be the object of insignificance, ridicule and mockery. This extremely delusive notion, as result of greatest exaggeration, though not deliberate, and so very natural with them that have experienced Mother's Grace, must go. A safer thing would be , to get a direct answer from the Grace recipients on the point, and not to jump and run rampant, as you like, to form your own inferences and conclusions.Get your answer from your Grace recipients to the direct question," Is Mother's Mercy a licence? " Mother is not being to be trifled with.
688.We are bound to avoid all bad actions , words and thoughts. We cannot always stop bad thoughts coming to us, but we can at least be displeased with them and try to banish them and refuse to yield to them. Regarding what is good and bad, and right and wrong , in the preliminary stage, it is enough that one obeys the Inner Voice of Mother As Antaryaamini , which people, in general parlance, call "conscience". Conscience is ever alive and ever-awake reality within us, which notes and records everything of ours, issues warning from time to time, and bites us from painful stings on our disobedience , during and after.
689. Not to speak of the rare cases of temptations, passions and provocations, the man who has practiced control over his six enemies enumerated before, is a much higher man, than one who has not known their working and has never practiced the strengthening of his will to be the last succumbing to them. Not to use personification, we can call the six enemies to be our six vices and one has to be extremely careful about his vices and virtues and their doings in life. A certain virtue of a man is his strength of doing good actions of a certain type , effortlessly, repeatedly and promptly. A certain vice is similarly an inclination towards bad actions , of certain nature which one drives one to the action, unless strongly controlled with a determined will and effort.
690. Elementarily, the spiritual aspirant may have the following notions, regarding the different terms while practicing self-control. Kama or Desire is the inner urge, which makes us indulge in thoughts and imaginations of certain pleasure, usually denied.
Krodha or anger is the hot and strong feeling against somebody, who or which comes in the way of the fulfilment of our desires, which displeases us , and makes us attack, injure or destroy the disliked circumstances, objects or passions.
Lobha or avarice is a passionate desire of possession of things , which we can not possess in usual course , without going out of the righteous and just way of things , which prompts us to be unfair , which disturbs our mind with dis-content and makes us dead to the delicate feelings, in the matter of consideration for the happiness of others .The accelerated with the speed with which we desire and strive for happiness and self-serving , more and more , and yet more , and with dis-content , is the broader variety of Lobha itself.
Mada or pried is an extremely over-exaggerated notion of ourselves, which results in our contempt and ill-treatment for and to others inferior to us, and a feeling of independence, easy provocation, and rebelliousness, against those that are superior to us.
Moha or infatuation is the climax condition of a certain desire, which makes you lose all your sense of judgement and action, and bodily and mental. Matsar or jealousy , is the bitterness of heart experienced on seeing others happier , better off and possessed of certain qualities or advantages more than you, which you do not possess, but are desirous of possessing.
Tripuraa त्रिपुरा - Master of the different triples. ललिता सहस्रनाम स्तोत्र, नाम क्रमांक 626
Mother is called Tripuraa त्रिपुरा because She is the Mother of the three entities (Brahmaa ब्रह्मा , Vishnu विष्णु and Rudra रुद्रा ). There are many triples , e.g., the three Naadis -Sushumnaa सुषुम्ना ,Pingalaa पिंगला and Idaa इडा ; as also Manas मानस, Buddhi बुध्दी and Chitta चित्त . Again there are three Devaas, three fires , three energies. Whatever in the world is three fold, is referred to here, as belonging to Her. Tripuraa also suggests the three aspects of Her Lotus Feet, white, red and combined coloured. Mai's White Lotus Feet indicate the pure Samvit, i.e., universal consciousness, which is untainted by any Upaadhis उपाधी , (obstructive environments), etc. The red feet are the Paraahantaa (Supreme egoism); also known as Mahat being the first emotion वृत्ती (vritti) from the Samvit (universal consciousness). The combined coloured feet indicate atoms of egoism, manifesting themselves, each by modification (the vritti) of " I " in individuals. This egoism is known as Ahankaar, which gets nourishment from knowledge, which is imperfect or unreal or perverse, along with all other paraphernalia of emotions, which again owe their existence to " I "(egoism). Kabir says : The world dies with " I " 's death.

Managing the worldly relations and duties and maintenance and smooth running of the worldly life of Her devotees in Her individual capacity.
This conveys Mother's promise of dexterously managing the worldly relations, duties and maintenance, and smooth running of the worldly life etc., of all Her devotees, BY VARIOUS UNSEEN, UNKNOWN AND MYSTERIOUS EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL ADJUSTMENTS. This is evidently true about all devotees - males and females, man and woman.

Come what may Don't leave Mother's Lotus Feet. You have a right to the Mother's Feet and Lap. It is enough that you had tried your best not to be pulled out, and that you have again returned. You are again welcome to your safe corner of purity and rest and peace. Run back at the earliest opportunity. Your righteous living must become so interwoven in your life, that whenever you make a departure you are filled with a unique uneasiness and confusion. You must be so guile -lessness-stamped in your face that even the dullest man of the world would detect you out, and force you to be driven back to your corner, with a little suffering. Develop your mind to be so sensitive that you yourself can't remain composed, till you have vomited out your wrong actions, intentions, sins, faults and follies.
I assure you from my personal experience. If you are a devotee, Mother saves you only with a slight reproach and a warning and a little loss. She changes the minds of the people. How rarest thing it is for the world to meet a man , who makes confessions with repentance and resolutions not to repeat the folly? You should feel as a fish out of its waters. Mother is sure to save you if there is a slight weakness and no systematic wickedness, provided there is a burning desire to retrace the steps to your corner. Mother helps you in such cases. most miraculously. It is the Divine Arrangement that saints are harassed by the world, even on false accusations and without rhyme or reason to make them more and more unattached to the world and to be pulled towards God. Mother is the same Almighty whom some call Father, some the Supreme Self, some the Nature, some the Divine Law, some the Absolute, some the Truth and so on. She is God, but conceived as Mother. Mother is that infinite which remains after all negations. Mai is Brahma-Svarupini. God as Father is JUSTICE and God as Mother is LOVE & MERCY. God as Father or God as Mother means, God that deals with us in fatherly manner or motherly manner. Mother ignores, forgives and forgets which the Father does not, so very easily and not that extent of pity and mercifulness compassion and condescension. None knows the ailment of a child as Mother, without even a communicating syllable. Mother's compassion alone can save us. Once you become Hers, She has Her own ways,Her Own arrangements and adjustments.Once you enroll yourself as Hers, the remaining task is Hers. Be a Mother's child. Love,Service,Devotion and Self Surrender are the best paths for worshiping Her. Mother has helped families out of calamities, beyond imagination, only on a mere appearance of self surrender to Her. Mother's ways of protection are unknown to us. Mother runs to the succour of Her devotees by thousand legs. MOTHER NEVER FAILS TO DO WHAT IS BEST IN THE INTERESTS OF HER DEVOTEES ON PRAYING TO HER FOR RELIEF. Motherhood is the highest conception of God if you wish to be saved from irreligion, materialism, atheism and satanism. In a religious act, God's grace propitiation and returns are guaranteed. Come what may, don't leave Mother's Lotus Feet. You have a right to the Mother's feet and Lap.It is god and god's grace that opens the door but knocking leads to it. The worship of universal Mother is the only method of attaining all human desires; the repetition of Her secret and sacred names is the best way to approach Her. If Mother's Grace is there, one does not need any Guru's initiation as Mother is all Mantras. The simplest method of worship is by prayer. It may be for spiritual grace or some particular moral and legitimate benefit or relief. The worship of Mother is an invocation to the Eternal Mother to bring forth not simply salvation of individuals but saviours and liberators of millions. Blessed be Her name ! JAY MAI JAY MARKAND MAI Dear Sisters and Brothers, I humbly pray to Most Beloved Maiji and Most Merciful Mother Mai for spiritual and temporal welfare and progress of each and every one of you. Mai, the Universal Mother of all, propitiable on living the life of Universal Love and Service with Devotion and Unconditional Cheerful Self-surrender, bless us all.
I wish to say something about the Mai-istic instructions on health. The first thing that everyone should place the highest value upon is health. It is rightly said that health is wealth. If your health is full of vitality, you find your society, mood and surroundings all cheerful. Even miseries, calamities and sorrows will reduce their poignancy if you are healthy. Health will brighten and sweeten your enjoyments. Health will enable you to do work which will be more useful and imperishable. Bad health will turn the highest heaven of your married life, office life and social life to be a heavy burden on your head and heart. You will prefer health to everything else. Now we will consider it from the Mai-istic religious view point.
Just compare the health conditions now and some 30 or 40 years or so before. Science has greatly advanced. You will find a doctor in every street with upto-date medical knowledge and medicines. Just think, does it not look that diseases g deep and multiply as science advances? We have only most wonderfully advanced in the science of cure, but prevention has been greatly neglected and here we are discussing about prevention and cure both from the higher forces and workings beyond the physical science and doctoring through medicines, injections, operations etc. the more we get the idea about the easy availability of doctoring and the efficacy of the medical science, the more we have been negligent about the prevention of diseases and maintaining of health, even though we have quite sufficient and detailed knowledge as to what impair or improve health. Our standard of expectation from our body and even mind have left all reasonable limitations. We want our bodies to be as obedient to us as the faithful dog sumptuously fed and pampered, asked to chase after a thief on simly pointed out with a finger. We want our bodies to follow our orders with the activity of a machine never to go out of order and an intelligence as it were, an animate slavish-like human being that not only obeys master's orders but begins to work anticipating master's wishes.
The body often fails, gets out of order and becomes subjected to weakness and diseases and renders temporarily or permanently the whole human life useless and disgustful.
The youthful world of today requires a strong reminder to be equally attentive to the direction of prevention without being over-confident about the certainty of medical efficiency and easy availability. The world passes from experience to experience. Most careless indifference about the preservation health rules due to over-confidence about medicines and its efficacy and availability has been brought into control by one great force of disagreeable economic conditions. Doctors are surely there, but to obtain their help, you are required to have tremendous money far above the ordinary capacity of all except rich and higher middle class. Originally the word 'Doctor' was used to represent divinity and it was supposed that the Doctors were for services to humanity with just an average fair living.
The problem of serving humanity through physical remedies of medicines and medical treatment has surely engaged the attention of several richest donors and there are many free hospitals, but their utility is much less than the expectations of the donors, become there is the vicious mentality of both sides viz., that if the doctor's world and the patient's world. The whole mentality of the nation has changed. Poor people resent being treated in an inferior manner than the paying richer class. They want free medical help and treatment, not only that, but of the highest calibre and with the least time if waiting and with as much respect and regard as private doctors would pay to their rich patients promptly paying off their heavy bills. On the side of the doctors there is an open partiality for such persons as have approached them in their own private hospitals and some items of costly medicines are even withheld from use for the patients of the poor class.
The problem of illness and disease has been therefore extremely serious and Mai-ism in its own way and with its own religious belief wants to drive home certain truths to the Mai-ists with faith, as referred to further below.
We have no knowledge of detailed science it be able to prove what we state but it is the experience of many that by constant repetition of "Jaya Maai, Jaya Maarkand Maai" with the addition of "Sarva Vyaadhi Vinaashini" or without it according to one's leisure and inclination, creates a physical force within our body which as it were burns down all disease germs of any nature. It was the experience of many devotees during the past so many centuries, later it has been investigated into and Western highest doctors now have come to realise that disease-curing is generally helped through ardent single-minded prayer. In America, in several hospitals, Priests and Prayer Offerers are invited to cure the patients through prayers. It is necessary that eminent doctors should collect literature and investigate into the matter with a view to establish the said truth in the unassailable scientific manner and there must be a wide-spread of such literature. If we mostly undertake an enquiry, we will surely meet with so much of factual evidence about prayers being the remover of diseases.
A Mai-istic mind should be so trained as to most automatically get the idea about Most Merciful Mother Maai's greatest Grace whenever he hears about diseases, accidents, calamities etc. of others. Repetition of the Sacred name of Maai, the Universal Mother, is by itself not only a wonderful remedy in prevention and cure of diseases, but also even during illness it gives a wonderful beating power.
The repetition of the mantra "Jaya Maai, Jaya Maarkand Maai" जय माई जय मार्कण्ड माई helps in so many ways. First thing, the doctors, nurses, relatives, friends all become most sympathetic to you and ready to serve you and do your work, at least to cheer you up to bear the pain. There are so may wonderful examples of Maai's Grace, but I would quote two of them here.
A man of 50 came to Maiji complaining that his wife was a patient in a Bombay hospital for more than two months and she was not getting cured. She would vomit out even the smallest food grain. He requested Maiji to go with him to the hospital. Maiji went with him to the hospital and saw her and enquired if she was prepared to repeat a mantra for about an hour after she had taken some food. She agreed. Soon some delicious dainty was ordered out. She was made to eat and she repeated the mantra for one hour. Maiji enquired after one hour if she had vomitted out and was extremely happy to hear that she had not. Maiji asked her if during night she will pray as much time as possible and she agreed and she prayed for about three hours. In the morning, the doctor who was informed about no vomitting, diagonised some other way and she was completely cured and discharged from the hospital after three days.
This has been the repeated experience. If any one goes to Maiji with the complaint about vomitting out even a single grain taken in or any other disease, the person is asked to repeat the mantra for one hour, and take sanctified food or water given to him. There will be no vomitting and the patient gets immediate relief. The person is surprised and gets full faith and agrees to repeat the mantra for longer time say three hours during night and gets entirely cured.
The Mantra is :
Sarva Vyaadhi Vinaashini
The devotee who has mastered the said mantra will be able to cure others through water sanctified by repeating the said mantra.
2. Maiji's friend's son was suffering from typhoid and was lying in hospital in Bombay. Maiji went to see him from Poona [ Pune, India ] . Unfortunately in addition to the typhoid he had a big luminized tumour over the head. Everyone was extremely sorry. The doctor said that the tumour can be treated only after typhoid is cured.
At about 10 p.m. the boy called Maiji near him, took Maiji's hand and moved it over his head and the tumour and told Maiji thus:- "You came this morning and would go away tomorrow at seven in the morning. Why did you come? Would you leave me as I am?" Maiji asked him, "What can I do?" The boy said "Can't at least pray that the tumour may go." Maiji asked him, "Do you believe that the tumour which could not be dealt with bu such an efficient doctor before your typhoid is cured can go by my mere prayer?. The boy said "You can do anything because you are very much beloved to Maai who can do anything". Maiji prayed casually and asked the boy whether he can repeat a certain mantra. The boy agreed and he was given this particular mantra already reproduced above. In the morning the boy shouted to Maiji "Come here", and the boy took his hand and moved it over the head and exclaimed "Where is the tumour". Not even the smallest swelling or even a speck was there.
Thus Mai-ist should clearly understand that apart from leading a strictly religious life without joys and pleasures of this life, we require Maai's Divine Grace at every moment, so long as the body is there and that body requires health and what is true regarding health is almost similarly true regarding all requirements of life.
Mai-ism holds the view that when you approach GOD as Universal Mother Maai, you have every right to demand your necessities or removal of calamities etc. of an unobjectionable moral, legal and legitimate religious nature and Mai-ism is not for asceticism. If Mai's desire had been for ascetic life, She would not have created sex attraction for both man and woman. Maai could very well have arranged that reproduction can take place without the physical union. Asceticism cannot be universal. Just leaving the final impersonal formless God, we have no Shiva without Shakti, No Krishna without Radha, No Rama without Seeta, No Narayana without Lakshmi. The world has to be accepted and lived into. Mai-ism says, if you cannot live this life happily, virtuously, harmlessly, morally, justly and truthfully, what is this madness of running after the higher life of a religious aloofness, which can have its legitimate place only after you have mastered and proved yourself worthy of a high rank in the tests of this life itself? It is only a misleading delusion.
You cannot be a first class M.A. without passing your Matric. Mai-ism says, first of all get mastery over yourself to be able to successfully battle with the difficulties, hardships, calamities and disagreeabilities of this life itself and for that the most preliminary preparation you require Mother. It is very strange and deplorable that this world is unable to visualise the greatest and most important part that the mother plays in bringing up and rearing up the child and training the child to be the most glorious man. Your home, family, nation, your character, virtue, conduct, your love, justice, truth, your greatness, culture, civilisation and almost every thing depends on what sort of mother you have in the world, nations, families and homes.
It is crystal clear, people must realise what s great thing it is to have God as one's mother to help us in every possible way. Who does not want and can live without the greatest love and protection of one's own mother ?
Well, to return to our main subject, the said mantra has made miraculous quick cures and reliefs, but you have to fully understand the working and carry out the working to the successful end with every required fulfilling.
A man suffers in health because he violates the rule of usual physical science generally well known to all educated people and especially the doctors and experts of health and hygiene and medicine.
Mai-ism says, the world has advanced in education, knowledge and science. We have known a good deal more than our fore-fathers about diseases, cures, preventions etc. But now one step further more which Mai-ism pictures out before you and it is that the life as lived with full of virtue, morality, justice and truthfulness, largely influences the health. Mai-ism says ill-health and diseases are not simply due to ignorance or inability to observe the requirements of the physical science. There are so many other factors which go to affect health as hereditary in life you live, virtuous or vicious, the physical wear and tear, the mental worries and burns, God-fearing and God-loving, the subtlest understanding about the working of the Universe etc. etc.
Physical science is only the first form of knowledge required for health, the most preliminary form. But in as much as the new world has decided to reject all vague notions, theories and beliefs which do not stand before us with waking of science, we have been rotting in the blunder of considering physical science to be all-including everything about the precautions and remedies for good health and no disease.
Mai-ism emphasises the truth that the life lived with virtue, morality, God-fearing, God-loving etc. has quite an immense influence which is many times much more effective than mere medicines or physical remedies including injections operations etc. An experience will bring an assurance that compared to physical science, medicines etc., the living of a virtuous, moral, truthful life is a much greater force and yet further the life of God-fearing and God-loving is yet further much greater force.
The greatest point of Mai-ism where it differs from the general religious understanding is here. It insists upon an entire subtlety of your development. Each step should be mastered and fully respected and ingrained on to yourself before you go to the higher step. If you do not do that, it is the greatest blunder. There are three classes of devotees, class A, B and C. While class A is God-fearing and God-loving, class B obeys and respects rules of morality and class C relies on physical science. One person is a great devotee. He has great faith on God's protection. He is entirely oblivious of the physical science suggestions. He, in a challenging manner, mixes with the plague patients, handles roughly the bubonic parts, catches plague and begins abusing God or loses faith. This is the case of an A class neglecting the requirements of the C class. Take another instance of a greater Bhakta A class who is of an immoral behaviour or a drunkard. He observes all requirements of C class (Physical). He terribly suffers.
Thus A class of God-fearing and God-loving persons must have mastered, respected and obeyed the requirements of B class of morality as also of C class of the physical science.
For B class, Mai-ism recommends Universal Love and Service. For A class, devotion and unconditional cheerful self-surrender. One who has truly understood Mai-ism is A class with mastery and respect for B and C classes. He must be the master of B and C as well while he aspires to be one of the most deserving member of the A class.
It is not that Mother always likes to manifest Herself as the most beautiful lovely woman. She sometimes assumes the form of even an oldhag.
In the Hindu scriptures, there is a description of Dhumaavati धुमावती, one of the aspects of Mother. Deformed, restless, cruel-faced, dirty-clothed, dry, rickety, inauspicious-looking, with a winnow in hand, poverty-stricken, widow-like, with the crow as Her pet bird, etc.
Naturally there are few devotees, who accept this form for their worship, but those who do, are favored most speedily with the fulfillment of their desires.
True devotees delight to serve any woman, in whatever form, however ugly, poor, crooked, criminal and sinful. All women to him are different forms in different bodies of Mother.
It may turn the brains of the swollen headed, atheistic modernists, to be told that to enter and proceed on the spirituality zone requires the help, guidance and grace of Teachers, Saints, Sages, Masters, etc. The modern world has simply boasted, out of blind and ignorance-ful egotism about one's own powers and capacities beyond all measures, and has declared its complete independence, with no indebtedness and nothing of the Guru or God. As stated in Mai-ism, on the highest religious plane or the spirituality plane, you cannot take a single solid step without the two chariot wheels of (a) God's grace and (b) Guru's grace and that is the spirituality stage near the border zone of spirituality shown in the Chart. The said truth is fully realised, when the border is touched.
A poor ordinary pigmy creature, whose maximum outlook even in imagination does not go beyond a little hazy and nominal worldly idea of virtue, morality and character, or the man who thinks that life has reached its perfection on living a little virtuously and with a little sacrifice here and there, has absolutely no idea about the unfathomable potentialities of the human life and most intricate and most wonderful and invisibly working powerful machinery, which is at work under the bottom of the human life and destiny. the man if mere bread and butter, wealth and woman, name and fame, power and praise, with a full stop at the end of his worldly intellect, has no idea that human capacities can be developed beyond all visible and believable limitations, and behind the screen of what any ordinary man knows and calls as "man". There are so many occult powers, forces and energies within the different sheaths and bodies of "man", that the real "man" is entirely unknown till now. And one with quite an ant's outlook and complete ignorance about the man's unknown world within him, can never see the truthfulness of the truth, that beyond a certain stage, the Teacher, the Master or the Guru is entirely indispensable. It is only the swollen-headed childishness of little thinking, that resents the very word of a Guru, Teacher or Authority. In fact if the word Guru or Teacher be given the widest meaning, viz. the source form which one has learnt or received or can learn or receive any illumination on any subject, there is not a single person on the earth who can boast and truthfully swear that he has no Guru. When anyone says, "I have no Guru" it only means, "I have not accepted anyone as my Guru" or that "I have none as one single Guru" and not that there has been no source from which he has received any learning or illumination. Under Mai-ism the word "Guru" is used in such widest sense. Whatever illuminates, directs, guides, protects, saves and leads you towards your destination in any subject matter is your "Guru" for that subject, even though he may be only one step ahead of you.Mai-ism insist upon entertaining the concurrent notion of gratitude with possible return or remuneration, along with the notion of a "Guru". Under Mai-ism "Guru" does not necessarily imply perfection or supernatural powers, etc. Under Mai-ism, Guru and service with gratitude, which is the very first requirement of the six G's of Mai-ism, go together.
The popular opinion about full justification for the strongest opposition to the idea of a Guru or teacher, master, Saint or Sage is based on the pigmy outlook and pitiable ignorance about what an immeasurable vastness extends beyond what they call "the capacities of "man" and on the entirely selfish, snatching mentality of the ungratefulness and blind self-egotism. There is surely the other side as well, and it is that of cheating, exploiting, abusing and black-mailing wickedness of some scoundrels and black sheep, spreading havoc in the name of religion. But it goes without saying that such disappointing experiences of two-penny worth Gurus and disciples can have absolutely no relevancy or existence whatsoever, when we are discussing the need of a Guru for the highly exalted and advanced soul, that has passed through so many experiences and tests, as the Mai-ism Chart imposes on the aspirant. JAY MAI JAY MARKAND MAI
"Why Markand Mai, and not G Mai ? "- was once an unnerving question. What answer the poor Founder can give? How could he talk about himself and say " you "die" like me, then Mother will be G-Mai as well". Founder silenced the questioner, on owning defeat, "Yes, She is G-Mai." Few days passed, G would repeat "Jay Mai" but not "Jay Markand Mai". Once he had a high fever of an extremely high temperature and painfulness. Having failed to get any relief, he began repeating merely "Jay Mai"; absolutely no relief. Somehow, all immediately, an illumination came; he saw a faint figure of Mother, who said "My son's name is much more, dearer, to me to hear, than my own name". The man repeated the whole Mantra "JAY MAI, JAY MARKAND MAI" ; he had normality within a wonderfully short time. This is the experience known to the Founder in the year before 1935. The man wrote a letter of greatest appreciation, and about his own illumination and his sorrow for his past impudence. But again, the same story!! Man asks the questions again and again similar to "Why Markand Mai, and not G-Mai?", even after several years. The Founder gets ruffled and baffled to find the solution. Is the whole thing that comes to him only a relishful narration of imaginary stories, of people that so frequently visit the Founder and mention their experiences? Is it just to please him? If there is truth, why again, the same obstinate mulishness after years of experience and after volumes of experiences? The answer has been more than once given in this book. It was no falsehood then; it is no falsehood now; man himself is not the same at all times ; MAYA PLAYS. Extract from the book : MAI-ISM Author : MAI SWARUP MAI MARKAND
According to the Mai-istic creed, there is no higher Mantra than Jay Mai Jay Markand Mai जय माई जय मार्कण्ड माई and the practice of getting a certain desire fulfilled by repetition of a certain mantra personally or through a representative is discountenanced. Mantra repetition can be only for getting the Grace, or for a prayer to some good purpose, mostly for others, and without any selfish return.
Once it becomes a conviction that it is Mother and Mother's Grace that gives or does a certain work, the whole outlook is entirely changed. There is no marketing, no mechanical doing of something, somehow, leading us somewhere, no bargaining with the deity, no chasing and no cheating."YOUR'S IS TO PRAY, AND IT IS HER WILL TO GRANT OR NOT".At every step in this life, there is some difficulty of illness, affliction, poverty, painfulness, etc. How long to wonder and how often to break one's head and empty one's purse, in the search of almost a mirage!!! Mai-ism says "Miseries will be endless". Make yourself proof to them. Seek Grace, pray without despondency in case the prayers are not heard. Practise living cheerfully., with the spirit of self-surrender,in any circumstances. Further as a result of grant of the request, a devotee does not get deluded as a Siddha (if at all there is any), because he does not consider himself to be the giver or the worker. Unnecessary fuss and bossing due to a little better knowledge of rituals or sacred word has no dancing platform. MOTHER NEVER FAILS, TO DO WHAT IS BEST IN THE INTEREST OF HER DEVOTEES, ON PRAYING TO FOR RELIEF.
Readers would not rest satisfied till they know, if this theory is supported by practical experience, and I may reply to them. " There are experiences, which would take volumes to narrate, of prayers by devotees that have been heard by Mother." I am not talking of old grand-mothers tales or hearsay's and rumors of some Bhaktaas in past. I am referring to the experiences of myself, as great an atheist as any of you, who wants things to be proved to him, as in a civil court, supported by ample outside independent evidence.
A Mai-ist should not forget that this granting of desires, is with the ultimate desire of attracting Her children to Herself.
There is the other side, as well.Mantras has laudable uses, when (1) they serve magnetic healing or abating of diseases, etc., for very general abating of miseries; (2) For ornamental grandeur, decency, poetry, sublimity, purification of place and mind, inviting a deity or seeking grace, or (3) as spiritual diplomacy to pull out disciple from the mudmire of worldliness by offering baits under the temptation of the benefits, gradually introducing him to the higher world of God, Guru, Devotees, etc. (although through a selfish motive to start with), and making him ascend the spiritual ladder, rung after rung.
This use, however, of Mantra by way of a spiritual diplomacy, for the welfare of the disciple, becomes at once apparent. Such a Mantra-worker is purely a selfless man, and work for a selfless purpose without any specific desire.
The Founder has prayed Mother in Christian Churches and in Mosques. He has worshiped Mother in homes and joined Mohamedan and Zoroastrian prayers. It is not difficult to test the conscientious belief of the true followers and hypocrite prattlers. One of the surprise tests would be to see from a distance, if their hands fold and rise in reverence as automatically before other worshiping places as an Agiari, a Mosque, a Church or a Synagogue as when they approach their own religious places. The Founderhas so often prayed to Mother in Englishand has sat before Mother repeating some of the chapters of the Imitation of Christ, as serenely as when he is reading Sapta-Shati or Bhagwad Geeta. Not as a point of formality, or modesty or a point of unavoidable necessity or of policy, not as an outcome of timidity, or pride for one's worshiped , but from an unshakable belief in the universality of Mai and in the unity of all religions as belonging to his Mai. A palace and a rose garden kept ready by Mother for you. This book is for swans. Mother likes to be surrounded with swans whose hearts will overflow with love , cheerfulness and gratitude, on Her showing such playful proofs of acceptance by Her." - Mai Swarup Mai Markand , Mai-ism, Page 225, Note No 291- Last paragraph_
Punya-kirti पुण्यकीर्तिः She whose glorification helps the amassment of merit. ललिता सहस्रनाम स्तोत्र, नाम क्रमांक 542
Several methods of acquiring merit (Punya पुण्य) are charity, suffering for others, fasting, undertaking ceremonial sacrifices, self-mortifying, self-denying, abstaining from enjoyments, serving others, controlling desires, going on pilgrimages, saints-serving, parents-serving, feeding the needy, providing constructional works to serve humanity, exerting oneself to serve society in its struggling to gain godliness, religiosity, etc., etc., etc.
It is Mother who creates and kindles the desire of amassing the merit. For them that have no means for the above and are of another mentality, the other avenue of gaining merit is through hearing of the greatness of Mother and discoursing and making others to hear. Although only two words of Shravana (hearing) and Kirtana are mentioned here in this name, these two words are supposed to include all different measures as Lotus Feet service, worship, saint-companionship, self-surrendering, etc.,which go to form the mental attitude of devotion.
Punya-kirtiपुण्यकीर्ति is glorification of Mother. This idea has not been well realised and is held at a great discount compared with the other two avenues. We are generally of such a pigmy-like outlook that we have certain limited notions. A Kirtankaar कीर्तनकार means one who gives a particular discourse in a particular dress in a particular place in the meting of a particular class of people in a particular manner. This name Punyakirti should convey the idea in any place, in any condition, at any time and to any people whoever talks about the glory of Mother has been accumulating merit. This is true even while he is talking to a fellow passenger in a bus or when he is in a dancing hall.
Mother's name does not require the sanction of any circumstances to make it creative of merit. Mother's name and Mother's glorification are by themselves the highest sin-annihilators.
Every Mother's Lodge member, just the reverse of the old idea, should be much above the selfish idea of eating one's sweet selfishly and seclusively.
Secrecy and seclusion of vices through which often Satan creeps in with the external appearance of godliness, sublimity, divinity, etc. Satan often fosters ignorance, immorality, imbecility, exclusive possessiveness, etc.
This name Punyakirti conveys a command. Glorify Mother. Spread and out-spread Mother's Glory in all publicity.
Secrecy and seclusion should be avoided as far as possible in activities of true religiosity.
If scoundrels have succeeded in running away with wealth and women in the field of religion, it is mainly through the satanic weapons of secrecy and seclusion. He who is truly religious and dies without leaving his inheritance or transferring his light and love to some disciples to the extent of latter's receptivity, is a sinner, under Mai's Ideal. This spread of religiosity and Mother's Glory is Punya Kirti.
Mother is more pleased by the spread of Her glory than self-evolution alone, even though desire-less and spiritual.
